Fantastic location, just outside the old city walls. Beautiful classical interiors, big room, great bathroom, the biggest most comfortable bed I think I’ve ever slept on, with the softest bedding. It was like sleeping on a cloud! They also had electric car charging for our Tesla which meant when we woke up to continue our journey in the morning, it was fully charged. However, the best thing about this hotel is the service. it was absolutely outstanding! From the moment we arrived we felt cared for and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We arrived quite late on and we were hungry. The hotel made us a reservation at a local restaurant which was no mean feat, with it being Easter and the busiest holiday in Salamanca’s calendar! When we got to the room, we found a complimentary bottle of cava on ice with snacks and chocolates. When we returned to the room after an evening out, they had provided turn down service, put down the blinds for us and had more little gifts waiting for us. The staff and attention to detail at this place is absolutely impeccable! We will definitely be going back to Hotel Rector

I would estimate I have stayed in over 500 hotels in my life, for work and pleasure This hotel was by a very big margin, the finest I have ever stayed in From the moment we walked through the door, the staff could not have been more kind and helpful They parked the car, took the luggage to the room, made a reservation at the best restaurant in town which is impossible to contact, provided a great map of the town with excellent tips and information, left a bottle of ice cold cava and snacks in the room, along with a hand written note. The whole hotel was scrupulously clean, the breakfast was exquisite, the room was so quiet I couldn’t hear a sound, and Bvlgari products were provided in the bathroom. This combination of service, quality and luxury- at any price- is something I would implore you to experience if ever in the area. The staff were so unbelievably friendly and helpful, it was just a joy on every level to have had the privilege of staying here. What more can I say?

Hotel Rector Salamanca What a beautiful city (very cold in January, though), and what a great hotel. A hotel where you will be completely pampered. The hotel has a small car park ( reservation is wise) and if you wish they will park your car for you. Upon arrival, they will accompany you to your room where a delicious bottle of prosecco with something sweet is waiting for you. The hotel doesn't really have a restaurant but if you are a guest and want something to eat they will prepare it for you. The hotel bar is a great place to have a drink after a day in Salamanca. Breakfast is extensive and delicious freshly squeezed orange juice with different bread, rolls, toppings, fruit, etc.. If you want an egg it will be prepared for you the way you like it, boiled, fried, omelet, etc. whatever you like. This hotel and its facilities are only accessible to hotel guests. They know what it is like to pamper a guest.

The hotel is located outside the old city and so is a little easier to drive to. It is in a great location for walking to all the major sights in the town. The staff helped us park in the hotel garage which is off the street behind the hotel. This place is expensive but worth splurging on. It has a very luxurious feel and there are nice touches everywhere. There was a complimentary bottle of wine on ice in our room when we checked in and complimentary bottles of water in our room and around the hotel. Our room was refreshed twice a day with little gifts of chocolates appearing each time. When we checked out we were given a bag of water and chocolates for our trip. Our room was large and comfortable with a king sized bed. The bathroom had two sinks, a bath, and a shower.

The hotel Reto was well located steps across the road from the old town, and only a 5 to 6 minute walk to Plaza Mayor. Along the way, the side streets were full of treasures, shops, bars and restaurants… the hotel itself was simply beautiful, an old family house converted into spacious rooms with loads of charm. The hotel staff could not have been more helpful, the day before we arrived, confirming our arrival, confirming parking requirements, and confirming specific amenities needed in the room. Upon arrival, the help unloading the car, and putting the car in a secure parking location was all done very smoothly, and within 15 minutes we were in the room, freshened up, and ready to walk into the old town…the property is simply beautiful!
